Hoax bomb alert at TTD Kalyanamandapam
Hyderabad, May 15 (INN): The busy Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Kalyanamandapam at Liberty Crossroads in Basheer Bagh on Sunday turned into a hub of police activity after an anonymous telephone caller claimed that a bomb had been planted there. The police, after a thorough search, declared that the call was a hoax.
According to Abids police, the TTD Kalyanamandapam office received a call at around 11 AM, with the caller claiming that a bomb has been planted inside the building. The Kalyanamandapam officials immediately informed the police who rushed to the spot.
The police personnel along with the bomb disposal squad and sniffer dogs reached the spot immediately and evacuated the people from the Kalyanamandapam.
After a thorough search of nearly two hours, the police and bomb disposal squad concluded that the call made to the Kalyanamandapam office was a hoax and made in order to create panic among people. The police are trying to trace the origins of the hoax call.
