Teacher hacked to death, daughter injured Medak, May 16 (INN): In a shocking incident, a teacher of a government school was hacked to death and his daughter left seriously injured by five unidentified persons at Narsapur outskirts in Medak district on Monday.
According to Narsapur Inspector Gangadhar, the school teacher Prabhakar (45) and his daughter Priyanka (22) were attacked by five assailants while on their way from MNR College in Sangareddy in RTC to Hyderabad.
Mr Gangadhar revealed that when the bus has reached Narsapur outskirts, three assailants on two motorcycles stopped it by obstructing it with their vehicles. Two other assailants who were already in the bus had attacked Prabhakar with sickles. They pushed him out of the bus.
On the road, the five assailants attacked Prabhakar on his neck with sickles, leaving him dead on the spot. His daughter Priyanka tried to intrude and come to her father's aid, but she also received blows to her hands. The attackers fled from the spot after making sure that Prabhakar was dead.
The bus passengers alerted the police who rushed to the spot and shifted the victims to hospital. Priyanka is being treated at the Gandhi Hospital presently. A case has been registered under Section 302 IPC and further investigations are on.
