TDP KPHB Corporator dies of heart attack
Hyderabad, June 11 (INN): Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Corporator representing the Telugu Desam Party from the KPHB ward Dandamundi Shobhanadri died of a massive heart attack while returning to the city from a pilgrimage to Shirdi.
According to TDP Floor Leader in the GHMC Singi Reddy Srinivas Reddy, Mr Shobhanadri experienced chest pain just as the bus he was travelling in entered Patancheru. His wife, who was accompanying him, alerted the driver who then stopped at the nearest hospital. However, the doctors pronounced the Corporator as brought dead.
Mr Shobhanadri was 61 and is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter. His son had got married a month ago.
On hearing the news, shocked TDP leaders including party president N Chandrababu Naidu, senior leader Devender Goud and other Corporators, rushed to Mr Shobhanadri's residence to pay their tributes.
Mayor Banda Karthika Reddy also visited his residence and consoled his distraught family. His last rites were performed at the Kukatpally crematorium at 4 PM.
