Indian Business District in NJ to be named as 'India Square' Iselin, NJ: Indian Business District on Oak Tree Road in Iselin, New Jersey is going to be named as 'India Square' officially. Nayan Parikh, Vice-Chairman, Woodbridge Housing Authority and Chandrakant Patel, President, Indian Business Association informed about it in a press note on Monday.
John McCormic, Mayor of Woodbridge Township in New Jersey is going to announce 'India Square' officially at a Press Conference on Tuesday, August 2nd.
Oak Tree Road in Iselin is well known for Indian Stores and Businesses in New Jersey. One can feel India with in the USA here and you can see everyone talking in Indian languages. The local Indian community leaders were finally successful in convincing the township to name the area as 'India Square'. This news came in at the right time just before India's Independence Day on Aug 15th.
Indian Business Association is also organising India Day Parade on Oak Tree Road on August 14th from 2 PM to 6 PM.
Apart from Nayan Parikh and Chandrakant Patel, Manher Shah, Former President, IBA, Mahesh Shah, Former President, IBA, Dilip Mehta (Dimple Restaurant), Sujeet Lakha (Raj Jewelers), Kaushik Patel (Patel Cash and Carry), Prafull Patel (Sahil), Prafull Vaid (Nina Jewelers), Jaswinder Jassi (Jassi Sweets) and Deepak Shah (Member of Mayor's Wellness Committee) are going to attend the press conference on Tuesday evening.
