Police arrest six burglars and chain snatchers Hyderabad, Aug 22 (INN): The City Police on Monday arrested three repeated house burglars and recovered about 200 grams of stolen gold jewellery, a motor cycle, aut and cellphones from their possession.
According to police, the burglars Sd. Mahaboob Qadar, Mohammad Pasha and Mohammad Feroz were apprehended on specific information. During interrogation they admitted to have committed eight house burglaries and two motorcycle thefts. The offences were committed in the limits of Humayunnagar, Panjagutta, Nampally and Moinabad police station limits.
Police say that as many as 12 warrants against the accused were pending with Golkonda, Humayunnagar, Panjagutta, Osmania University, Narayanguda and Jublee Hills Police Station limits in the previous cases. Two more accused in the case Sk. Hasham and Sikandar are still absconding. The arrests were made by West Zone task force team.
In another case, the West Zone Task Force team arrested notorious criminals Syed Haji, a chain snatcher and robber and his associate Sd. Nazaf Ali.
Police seized a gold chain weighing 5 tulas from their possession. They were also involved in an attempt to murder case in Santosh Nagar police station limits. He was handed over to Santosh Nagar Police Station for further necessary action.
Another notorious chain snatcher Syed Aslam of Malakpet, who was involved in several chain snatching cases in Hyderabad and Cyberabad limits was also apprehended.
