KITS(S) engineers 'Das Saal Baad' reunion in Columbus Ohio


Mother land, social and cultural values still prove to be at first place for the NRI Engineers even after 10 years. Reliving college life, sharing wonderful memories, reminiscing cherished moments, committing to a social cause, contribution to home country celebrating friendship was the theme at the "Das Saal Baad" college reunion of NRI engineers currently living in USA held between August 19 to 21.

People have come in to Columbus for this occasion from various states from all over US. They first met in the year 1997 when they joined their engineering college- Kamala Institute of Technology and Science(KITS(S)),Singapur, karimnagar as the first batch of their college hence called as "pioneers".

Like most college friends, few of them were in touch over the years and some are entrepreneurs, small businessmen, project managers, software engineers, management personal working for various multi-national companies but in their hearts they always proud to be Indian. This was evident when they all showed up for the huge college reunion planned in Columbus.

The event was organized at a 50 acre resort that offers similar ambiance as their engineering college days. Staying true to their spirit, the event was kicked off with a warm welcome by Vishwanatha Raju Brahmandhabheri followed by the program remembering friends those are no more with them - a very touching moment for everybody.

Watching pictures and videos of college took everyone down the memory lane.The program 'Prasthanam-The journey from 2001 to 2011, allowed everyone to share their journey in the past decade. The quiz program on college and college life between 1997-2001 let everybody cherish their sweet memories. Celebrations continued with sports and other indoor games that brought all the memories of college days to life.

Demonstrating social responsibility and love for the mother land, everybody at the event agreed to channel this energy to support various social causes by donating to charitable trusts back in India.

This mega event has been organized under the supervision of Vishwanatha Raju Brahmandhabheri and Ragini Neerumalla with the support from other friends like Vivek Myadam, Jeevan Revuri, Rajneesh Katarapu, Bhagirath Pesaru, Murthy Tadepalli, Sridhar Bingi, Thiru Venganti, Ravi Thoutam and Ratan Erukulla.
