A helping hand to aspiring entrepreneurs in DC New Jersey, August 25: If you are an young entrepreneur living in the DC. area, here is some good news for you. The Indus Entrepreneurs DC (TiE DC) has launched TiE Young Entrepreneurs(TyE), a program aimed at introducing high school students to the world or business and entrepreneurship. While TiE has successfully launched the program in several cities across the US in the past decade, this is the first such launch in the DC area. The program is free of cost and will run for eight weeks with two hours of classes each week.
'TyE aims to empower our youth to become entrepreneurs by providing them with quality educational programs to develop strong business acumen, communication skills, time management, and confidence to lead in a global environment,' a press release here said.
Applications are now open for the Fall 2011 class. The program will feature weekly classes from September through November which will include lectures and interactive panel discussions by industry experts on business related issues. Also included is a Business Plan Competition and the winning team gets to participate in the TyE Global Business Plan Competition.
