SIFC welcomes Parliament resolution on Lok Pal Bill New Jersey, Aug 27: Save India from Corruption (SIFC), an NRI organization fighting against the corruption welcomes the historic and unanimous resolution passed by the Indian Parliament supporting the 3 key points of Anna Hazare.
Harikishan Eppanapally, promoter of the SIFC and Lead India 2020 organizations said even though all the Jan Lok Pal and Anna's team demadns are not considered but Parliament took first step towards a strong Lok Pal and won for the people of India lead by Anna Hazre.
Harikishan Eppanapally is happy that Anna Hazare is ended his fast and wishes him a speedy recovery and continue to engage in the process to come up with a strong Lok Pal bill for the country.
He said, It is unfortunate that it needed a 74 year old Gandhian to fast for 12 days to rally the citizens of India to make the Parliament to discuss and pass such a historic resolution.
He said, the movement should continue in the same spirit to put pressure until the Parliament standing committee takes into consideration and includes all the key points proposed by the Team Anna other organizations in the best interest of the nation putting aside all personal and party interests.
All of this could have been simply avoided if all the political parties proactively acted in the best interest of India by paying attention to the will of the people.
As overseas citizens of India we fully support this movement for freedom from corruption, said Harikishan in New Jersey. He requested the Parliamentary standing committee to review all the proposals and consider the best out of each proposal and publish a draft for the public review so that a strong Lok Pal bill evolves through this process of inclusion.
In addition to the Lok Pal, Harikishan Eppanapally also demanded for an immediate ordinance declaring all the black money stashed away in safe heavens as a National treasure.
SIFC asked the Indian government to declare all the names of the corrupt politicians and public servants and enact laws to punish them severely so that the people fear to commit such acts in the future.
SIFC also demanded the Indian Government to enter into bilateral agreements with the safe heaven countries to bring back the National treasure and use it to pay off the debt and use it for national development.
