GMR to attend NRIVA Global Convention in Washington DC

Atlanta, USA, Sept 1: Grandhi Mallikarjuna Rao whom people affectionately call GMR will be the key note speaker at NRI Vasavi Association (NRIVA)'s global convention from Sept 3rd to 5th to be held at Hyatt Dulles Hotel at Washington DC, USA. NRIVA announced it in a press release today.

GMR will address the gathering on "Importance of community service in life" and also on how Indian businessmen are becoming more aware of corporate social responsibility (CSR). GMR who recently pledged all his wealth worth about $340 million (Approx Rs. 1500 crore) worth of his shares in the company towards education of underprivileged children in coming years has announced 2,50,000 US Dollars towards NRIVA active program AAS (Adapt A Student).

NRIVA which is based out of USA has been spreading its social service beyond region, religion, community and any other factors along with Goddess Vasavi Matha's message of three imporatnt aspects of ideal life Satyam, Sheelam and Ahimsa. It has been spearheading this message across the world and has developed chapters in all important metros of North America and other European countries. NRIVA which organizes Vasavi Jayanthi celebrations every year across all states in USA has more than 10 thousand active members in the organization today.

The Global convention which is first from NRIVA will be inaugurated by Tiruppavai Kokila Manjula Sree of Sree foundation. Other important dignitaries who will be attending are Dr. Konijeti Rosaiah, Ex Chief Minister of AP and Governor of Tamil Nadu, Mr, TG Venkatesh, Minister of Minor Irrigation AP and Mr.DH.Shankaramurthy, Chairman of Karnataka Legislative Council.
