GMR to address NRIVA Global Convention in Washington DC

New York: Gradhi Mallikarjuna Rao, Chairman, GMR Group will address the three day Global Convention, to begun on Saturday in Washington DC. GMR will speak on 'Importance of community service in life' and also on how Indian businessmen are becoming more aware of corporate social responsibility (CSR).

GMR who recently pledged all his wealth worth about $340 million (Approx Rs. 1540 crore) worth of his shares in the company towards education of underprivileged children in coming years has announced 2,50,000 US Dollars towards NRIVA active program AAS (Adapt A Student).

NRIVA which is based out of USA has been spreading its social service beyond region, religion, community and any other factors along with Goddess Vasavi Matha's message of three important aspects of ideal life Satyam, Sheelam and Ahimsa.

It has been spearheading this message across the world and has developed chapters in all important metros of North America and other European countries.

NRIVA which organizes Vasavi Jayanthi celebrations every year across all states in USA has more than 10 thousand active members in the organization today.

The Global convention which is first from NRIVA will be inaugurated by Tiruppavai Kokila Manjula Sree of Sree foundation. Other important dignitaries who will be attending are DH.Shankaramurthy, Chairman of Karnataka Legislative Council, S Sivarama Subhramanyam, Chairman, APIIC, Upendra Chivukula, Deputy Speaker, New Jersey, Smt Aruna Miller, Delegate ,Marryland Assembly are Guests of Honour.

The Global Convention will be attended by 1500 people from different parts of the world with majority from 50 states of USA. Special Guests from India include Ambica Krishna, Ex MLA, Sivarama Subramaniam, APIIC Chairman, Sri V V Sanyasi Rao, International Trainer, Ganesh Gupta Bigala, TRS Vice President, Yoganand 'CMD of Manjeera Constructions, Mr Anand Garlapati, President and founder of NRIVA will preside the Global Convention.
