Four member inter-state burglars gang held Hyderabad, Sept 03 (INN): The City Police arrested four members of an inter-state gang of house burglars which was involved in 18 different cases in the Hyderabad and Cyberabad police limits.
Addressing a press conference on Saturday, City Police Commissioner AK Khan said all members of the gang hailed from Maharashtra. The gang was involved in eight cases of burglary in SR Nagar, four cases in Punjagutta limits and one each in Habeeb Nagar, Humayun Nagar, Sanath Nagar and Balanagar police station limits.
The accused - P Sangayya Swami, Aravind Siddiram Siddaral, Rafiullah and Sandeep Hanumanth Rao Jadav rented an apartment at Kukatpally and used to commit house burglaries during the day time. They also hired a car to recee the house which was locked.
On a tip off, the SR Nagar inspector P Krishna Murthy along with his team arrested the accused on Saturday. Police recovered stolen gold ornaments of about 1.78 kg, 80 tolas of silver articles, net cash of Rs 5.60 lakh, one Tata Indica car, two television sets, one washing machine and one refrigerator. The total value of recovered property is about Rs 57.50 lakh.
The Police Commissioner has announced a handsome reward to the SR Nagar police station team which detected the case.
