IT company staff cheated of deposits Hyderabad: Owners of Prodigy, an IT company with branches at Visakhapatnam and Warrangal, has lured more than 1,500 employees with deposits ranging from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh and now are absconding.
Failing to get a salary for three months the employees on Saturday staged a dharna in front of the company. They have lodged a complaint to this effect with the Madhapur police station.
The police say they are busy in bandobast at the HICC for the President's visit. The employees of the co'mpany who had gone to the police station this morning said what they gathered from various sources point to a fraud.
More than the money they are worried about their SSC and degree certificates which are locked up with the company. They wanted the police to get them the certificates from the company first.
More than 1,500 employees were lured by the company by promising them jobs in USA and other parts of the world.
