LRS payment deadline extended till Sept 30 Hyderabad, Sept 08 (INN): The State Government has extended the date for the payment of Land Regularisation Scheme (LRS) till September 30. It was in December 2007 that the government has decided to regularize unapproved and illegal layouts.
Accordingly, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation received and processed LRS applications from the year 2008 onwards till date. However, still 15,790 applications are still pending for payment of LRS charges, submission of ULC Certificates and other reasons by the applicants.
The GHMC has asked the applicants to make use of extended deadline. The corporation has delegated the powers to the City Planners at Zonal level (five Zones) for disposal of applications under LRS Scheme.
Thus, in case of not regularizing the site under LRS, the additional Charges of Betterment Charges @Rs.150/Sq.mts and 14% of present Market value of Land towards open space shall have to be paid at the time of obtaining building permission.
The Zonal Offices will function on Sept 09 and Sept 10 on public holidays also to receive LRS penal amount and other documents for the convenience of the public.
