YSR vardhanthi held in Detroit
Detroit: YSR Congress Party, Detroit wing and prominent Telugu people of Detroit observed late Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy's second death anniversary (vardhanthi) on September 10th, 2011. The crowded hall at St. Toma conference Center reiterated that they would support Dr. YSR vision and encourage any leader who wanted to support his ideas to uplift the poor.
Over 350 people paid homage to Dr. YSR by chanting 'YSR Amar Rahe'. MP Sabbam Hari and MLC Jupudi Prabhakar Rao attended the program as Chief Guest and Special Guest, respectively. The guests paid homage by lighting jyothi and offering floral tributes to Dr. YSR followed by a moment of silence. Hariprasad Reddy Lingala welcomed the guests and moderated the meeting.
Local YSR congress party members expressed their grievance and pledged their support to YSR Congress president YS Jaganmohan Reddy. A number of local YSR Congress leaders briefly mentioned about the numerous programs Dr YSR executed to uplift the Telugu people and his impeccable performance as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh that put him the top most leader of all times.
They strongly believe that the only one person who can continue Dr YSR vision is YS Jaganmohan Reddy. Some of the speakers include, Dr. Ramchandra Reddy, Lingala Hariprasad Reddy, Yarlagadda Sivaram, Kukunoor Vinod, Yadam Balaji, Bhumireddy Yugandhar, Srinivas Chittaluri, Pidaparthi Srinivas, Ravi Kiran, Manduti Sunil, Srinivas Barla, Nagender Gali, Vinod Atmakur, Marupudi Vijay, Beeram Venkat, Kukati Purushottam, Sambi Reddy, Devanath Reddy, Venu Kagithala and Gunasekar Chigarapalli.
