Mother, grandma kill new-born boy
Hyderabad, Sept 20 (INN): In a shocking incident, within minutes after his birth, a new born boy was allegedly murdered by his own mother and grand-mother.
The incident took place near MM Pahadi on Monday night. According to Shahinayatgunj police, the accused Shaheen Bi is a widow. Her husband Saleem Pasha of Barkas died about four years ago and the couple had five children. After her husband's death, she shifted to her mother's residence at MM Pahadi.
However, Shaheen developed some illicit relationship and got pregnant. But fearing that the neighbours and relatives would come to know about her illicit relationship after the boy's delivery, her mother Salma Bi hatched a plan to kill the new born soon after the birth.
On Monday night Shaheen delivered the baby at her mother's residence. Both Shaheen and Salma Bi then killed the new born by slitting his throat. Salma Bi then took the new-born's body in a polythene bag and came to Musi river.
However, she was noticed and caught by the local residents. She was handed over to the Shahinayatgunj police station. During interrogation Salma Bi reportedly confessed of having killed the new born along with Shaheen.
Police registered a case of murder against Shaheen and Salma took the latter into custody. Further investigations are on.
