Relatives blame doctors for woman's death Hyderabad, Sept 21 (INN): Relatives of a woman staged protests and damaged the furniture of a private hospital holding doctors responsible for her death after delivering a baby.
The incident happened in the limits of Miyapur Police Station on Wednesday. According to the complaint filed by the relatives, the deceased - Jyothi, 25, a resident of Chellapur, was admitted to a private hospital after she developed labour pains last night.
On Wednesday morning, she gave birth to a healthy female baby. However, the hospital authorities told the relatives the mother's condition was serious as she was bleeding profusely. On the pretext of treatment, the hospital collected over Rs 50,000 from the family members.
Later, the hospital authorities asked the relatives to take her to some other hospital. However, the relatives allege that Jyoti might have died due to the doctors' negligence and the hospital extorted money from them by hiding the fact about her death. Miyapur police received the complaint and started investigations.
