Manchester won the NATA Connecticut Volleyball Tourney




Connecticut, USA: North American Telugu Association (NATA) has successfully organized NATA Connecticut Volleyball Tournament 2011 on September 25th at Woodbury, Connecticut. This sports event was coordinated by Committee led by NATA Regional coordinator Ravindra Arimanda with the help of Regional Vice President Alla Rami Reddy, Vivek Komarina, Mallik Munduru, Regional Coordinator Srinivas Vasireddy, Venkata Kota, Ajay Kondapalli and Umakanth.

Several teams showed interest but due to tight schedule NATA could accommodate six teams this time. NATA Secretary Pradeep Samala, Board of Directors Dr. Raghava Reddy and Hari Velkur, our sponsors Satish Annamaneni (Suburban Pharmacy) and successful Realtor Madhu Reddy, 150 families have participated in this event and it was successful event.

Manchester team led by Prabhakar Reddy were the champions and NATA Secretary Pradeep Samala and sponsor Sathish Annamaneni has presented the trophy to the winners. Groton team led by Kiran Veeramachaneni were the runners and NATA BOD Dr. Raghava Reddy and sponsor Madhu Reddy has given the trophies to runners team.

Organizers and players thanked the sponsors Suburban Pharmacy for sponsoring T-Shirts, Madhu Reddy for sponsoring Trophies and other sponsors Avon Indian Grill and NATA Team Rajeshwar Gangasani, Pradeep Samala, Chinna babu Reddy, Raghava Reddy, Hari Velkur, Suresh Reddy, Mahender Musuku, Rami Reddy, Ravindra Arimanda and Srinivas Vasireddy.

NATA secretary Pradeep Samala spoke on this occasion and informed about the Houston conference and encouraged them to register for the conference and make that big successful event.

Dr. Raghava Reddy spoke on this occasion and mentioned about different community activities NATA has been doing to the audience, told the importance of being NATA member and requested all the attendees to take membership and take part in the Telugu community activities.

Regional Vice President Alla Rami Reddy has explained NATA history and its memberships, how NATA has been organizing sports event like this to bring more youth in to the organization and build the better future by helping fellow Telugu community in India and USA.

One of the attendees told that it was like family picnic and he was very happy to see a lot of Telugu community at one place playing volley ball and thanked NATA for organizing the event. One of the players told that they have been playing Volleyball in different tournaments in last 5 years and felt that this is the best tournament, well organized and thanked NATA for organizing the event.

Organizers thanked Woodbury residents for hosting this event, special thanks to Woodbury Indian Association leaders Vivek and Mallik, and Jaya Nagaram for capturing wonderful photos.

Other teams participated were Naugatuck team led by Ranga Kondapalli, Woodbury 1 Team led by Mallik Munduru, Woodbury 2 team led by Suraj Kumar and Trumbull team led by Satish Kalidindi.
