Bathukamma and Gandhi Jayanthi on Oct 2nd in NJ
Highland Park, NJ: A group of Telugu people who do not want to get personal publicity are conducting Bathukamma festival along with Gandhi Jayanthi on October 2nd in Highland Park, New Jersey. Representatives of this group requested their names not be published and their flyers had no names.
The program starts at 12 noon and will continue till 6:30 in the evening, the organisors said. Event location will be at Grove-1, Donaldson Park, Highland Park, NJ-08904 (at the end of the South Second and Third Avenues on Route 27).
Program includes paying tribues to Mahatma Gandhi, Vana Bhojanam (Community Lunch in the Park), Games for Kids, Music Concert by well known singer Goreti Venkanna, Bathukamma Veduka and Flotilla Immersion.
Nizamabad M.P. Madhu Yaskhi, Cine Writer and Film Censor Board Member Vaddepalli Krisha will also attend the program.
The organising group is said to be against Telangana Development Forum (TDF) which is conducting Bathukamma festival on Oct 1st in New Jersey.
