Two held in fake job racket Hyderabad, Oct 07 (INN): The sleuths of West Zone team of Commissioner's Task Force apprehended two persons, including a woman, who cheated unemployed youth to a tune of Rs 70 lakh through a fake job racket.
According to police, the accused Syed Kaleemullah Hussaini alias Waseem and Ms. Zeena Suzen Varkey alias Zareen Fatima were partners of Gazebo International Restaurant located at Road No.12, Banjara Hills.
They lured and allegedly cheated about 150 unemployed youth belonging to Orissa, Kolkata and other cities and collected about Rs 70 lakh with a false promise of providing employment in Grand Palace Hotel, Dubai with high salaries and accommodation.
Last year they collected an amount of Rs.38,000 from each candidate for visa processing and also took their passports. But they did not send them to Dubai or return their money and passports.
When some of them contacted them to get back their passports and money, they threatened them with dire consequences and demanded more money to return the same.
Another accused Syed Majeedullah alias Majeed is the, maternal uncle of Syed Kalemullah Hussaini and acted as Marketing Manager of Grand Palace Hotel in Dubai.
The main accused Waseem and Zareen Fatima were absconding since the registration of case at Banjara Hills Police Station following complaint of 61 victims. On August 19, the accused Syed Majeedullah was arrested by Task Force West Zone Team and was handed over to Banjara Hills police.
On Friday, on a tip off the police arrested both the accused and handed them over to Banjara Hills Police Station for further action. Police have also seized passports, rubber stamps, debit cards, DL, PAN card, UAE Gate card, Cheque Books of various banks, UAE Tourist Entry Permit of Zeena Suzen, One mobile phone and one Chevrolet car from their possession.
