Lightning kills 11 across AP
Hyderabad, Oct 10 (INN): At least 11 people, mostly farmers, were killed in separate incidents when they were struck by thunderbolts and lightning
on Monday.
According to reports reaching here, five people were killed at Rajapuram in Khammam district. Two more persons were killed in Buttaingudem of Eturnagarama mandal of Warangal.
In another incident, four persons were reportedly killed in Vizianagarm district due to lightning and thunderbolts strike. However, these statistics were yet to be confirmed by the officials.
Reports suggest that these farmers were killed while they working in the fields. But due to sudden heavy downpour followed by lightning and thunderbolt on Monday, they could not immediately reach safe shelters.
