All set for KPHB ward by-elections on Oct 16
Hyderabad, Oct 11 (INN): Elaborate arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of by-elections for the KPHB ward of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.
Polling for the ward by-elections would be held on October 16 and counting of votes would take place on October 18. As many as 70,886 voters would decide the fate of 11 candidates who are in fray. However, the contest would be primarily between the Congress, TDP and BJP candidates.
As many as 39,046 male and 31,840 female voters would exercise their franchise on 125 polling booths where voting would be done using Electronic Voting Machines. The seat fell vacant due to the sudden demise of TDP corporator Dandamundi Shobhanadri on June 11.
