TAGDV Celebrates Dasara and Deepawali
Berwyn, PA: Telugu Association of Greater Delaware Valley (TAGDV) celebrated the Dasara and Deepawali function on Saturday Oct 8th, at Conestoga High School, Berwyn, PA.
A social hour between 4pm to 5pm provided an opportunity for guests to interact with each other. The program was started by secretary Ravi Potluri and the cultural talent show by participants started off followed by a prayer Classical Dance (Lord Ganesha) performance by Vandana Kommareddy. Cultural program of the evening was MC'd by Bhaskar Sarikonda and Anu Lebaka.
The rest of the programs during the course of the evening included a variety of cultural performances by Ritika Segireddy,Reva Segireddy,Neha Reddy, Swara Mukkamala , Manisha Koneru, Saadhana Jakka, Spandana Jakka, Nitisha Eluri, Shriya Koneru, Aanika Varma, Varalika Ananth, Rashmika Raghunathan, Anushka Raghunathan, Rhea Amonkar. Cultural performance ended by an excellent Kuchipudi Dance Ballet (Godha Kalyanam). TAGDV recognized Megana Reddy for her Kuchipudi Rangapravesam.
The prime time program started by President Sailaja Adluru's welcome speech. She welcomed Tollywood Music Director Raghu Kunche, Singers Kousalya and Anuj Gurwara to the event. The Prime time started with a Tollywood Extravaganza by singers kousalya and Anuj. Kousalya's melodies and Raghu Kunche's 'endukee Ravannamma' and other songs received thunderous applaud from the crowd. TAGDV Deepawali Celebrations turned into a Dance Party by Anuj Gurwara. He gave energetic performance on-stage and in the middle of audience. The young and old all were dancing to the tunes of the singers.
Delicious snacks and Dinner served by Bawarchi Restaurant. Secretary Mr. Ravi Potluri conveyed vote of thanks to all the attendees, sponsors, and volunteers. The TAGDV Executive Committee ' Sailaja Adluru, Madhavi Mandala, Ravi Potluri, Lalitha Rallapalli, Padmini Karnam, Raj Kuppuswamy, Sambaih Kotapati, Madhu Divyakola, Suresh Reddy, Santhi Korutla, Venu Bathini,Bhaskar Sarikonda and Hari Bungatavula thanked the participants for their spirited performances, the donors who contributed to the event, The Grand sponsors of the Deepawali event Ramesh Eluri & Sailaja Adluru and Sponsors Vijay Annapareddy and Venkat Garikapati.
EC also thanked TV9 Management & Journalist Murali and volunteers for their hard work and support. Audience appreciated EC for their hard work and dedication for bringing many of the programs to execution and for their contributions to the community.
