ANR exhorts all to donate eyes
Hyderabad, Oct 13 (INN): DadaSaheb Phalke Awardee Dr Akkineni Nageswara Rao on Thursday stressed the importance of eye donation.
Flagging off a marathon walk from LV Prasad Eye Hospital to Jubilee hills check post to mark the World Sight Day, Dr Nageswara Rao called upon the people to create awareness on eye donation and its necessity.
He exhorted all to pledge their eyes to give vision to others. He appealed to voluntary organizations to launch effective campaigns to ensure that more and more people donate their eyes after death.
Hyderabad City Police Commissioner A K Khan, Film producer Dil Raju and Film star Mohan Babu's daughter Manchu Laxmi also participated in the walk. On the occasion, Dil Raju and Manchu Laxmi promised to pledge their eyes.
