Rs 40 lakh stolen cash recovered, one held Hyderabad, Oct 13 (INN): The City Police arrested one person and recovered stolen cash of Rs 40 lakh from their possession. According to Afzalgunj police, the main accused Bal Kishan Maali was an employee of Nava Durga Bullion Corporation located at Shamsheerjung.
On October the company's owner Ravinder Agarwal had a collection of Rs 1.29 Crore. He kept Rs 75 lakh in a bag with him and kept Rs 54 lakh in another bag. Ravinder Agarwal then asked his servant Bal Kishan to come to State Bank of India, Head Office at Koti on his scooter along with his son Deepak Agarwal by carrying bag containing Rs. 54 lakh cash.
Bal Kishen kept the cash bag in the scooter dickey and they all started from Charkaman, Charminar. While Bal Kishan and Deepak Agarwal were passing Traffic police station of Sultan Bazar at Putlibowli he dropped his chappal on the road and asked Deepak Agarwal to bring the same. When Deepak Agarwal went to bring the chappal, Bal Kishan sped away along with scooter and the bag containing cash of Rs. 54 lakh.
After that Bal Kishan went to his friend Naresh Sankla's house at Shahinayatgunj and handed over Rs. 40 lakh by explaining him about the theft. Police said Naresh knowingly received the stolen amount and concealed in his house.
