Two chain snatchers held Hyderabad, Oct 15 (INN): The Central Crime Station of Hyderabad City Police on Saturday arrested two persons who were allegedly involved in chain snatching offences.
The accused Shaik Babulal and Mandru Muralidhar are aged about 20 years. According to police, they are the associates of Ramesh Reddy, Venkat Yadav, Shaik Jamal and Kittu, other accused in the similar offences. All of them stay at Krishnanagar, Indiaranagar of Banjara Hills and work as junior artists in the film industry.
The accused used to target the olden women walking in the morning hours. The accused Babulal and Muralidhar have so for allegedly committed six offences of chain snatching, of which three cases pertained to Sanjeeva Reddy Nagar police station, two cases were registered at Madhapur police station and another case was booked by the Jubilee Hills Police Station.
The police recovered gold ornaments weighing about 50 grams and one Honda Deo scooter bearing No. AP-09BX-1163 from their possession. Police say that the efforts have been intensified to arrest the absconding accused and to recover the stolen property. Both the accused are being remanded to judicial custody.
