Police ban bursting of crackers on roads, public places Hyderabad, Oct 24 (INN): The City Police on Monday released a long list of Do's and Don'ts for the Deepawali festival. The police have prohibited bursting of fireworks/crackers on public roads and at public places during the celebration of Deepawali festival.
It has also imposed a ban on bursting of sound emitting fire crackers between 10 pm to 6 am from October 25 to 28. Police said that it would action against those who violate the above mentioned orders.
The police have made bandobust and traffic arrangements at the temples, Pooja Pandals, market and shopping areas and on the public roads in the city to facilitate peaceful celebrations and prevent untoward incidents.
The local police has been instructed to pay special attention to prevent fire hazards and fire accidents in fireworks shops by insisting that the shop-keepers take adequate fire- fighting precautions so that there is no outbreak and spread of fire.
The managements of shopping complexes, business establishments and educational institutions have been instructed not to invite celebrities for promotional events/programmes at public place in the limits of Hyderabad City Police without prior permission of the local authorities as such events could create traffic jams.
Meanwhile, the City Police has booked 14 cases against different firms for violating the license conditions in connection with Deepawali festival.
