Notorious chain snatcher held
Hyderabad, Oct 30 (INN): The North Zone team of Commissioner's Task Force arrested an accused Syed Asif against whom 10 non-bailable warrants were pending and he was also absconding in a snatching case.
According to police, the accused Asif, was involved in 12 cases in Shahinayathgunj, Kumatpally and L.B. Nagar, 9 cases in Vanasthalipuram, 2 cases in Panjagutta police stations. As many as seven NBWs were pending against him the in Hayathnagar Court.
Police say that Asif while working as salesman in Reliance and Tata Tele services developed intimacy with one Naser who was a chain snatcher. Since Asif is a good at riding bike, Naser committed four snatching using his help. Later, another snatcher Mohammed Zia also utilized Asif's services in committing seven chain snatching offences. On a tip off, the North Zone Task Force team arrested Asif after making sustained efforts.
