Oman Telugu's felicitates Dr ABK on Ugadi
Telugu community in Oman has celebrated Nandana nama samvatsra Ugadi in a grand way at Hotel Al Felaj on Friday. Telugu community has taken the honor of felicitating doyen of telugu journalism Dr ABK Prasad on this occassion. ABK is such a giant personality who dedicated his life for the promotion of Telugu Culture.
Audience were refreshed by Dr ABK's talk about the significance of Telugu and the traditions of ancient Telugu people. He asserted 'Brotherhood continues to be the essence of life only when strong relations amongst people would keep them intact and live harmoniously'.
The program began with famous Kuchipude dancer Koka Vijaya Lakshmi performing a classical dance depicting several thematic mythological illustrations that give goodness to the society followed by a Magic show by Altaf Ali who is popularly known as Magic Ali. He has stolen the hearts of children.
Telugu Ghazal Maestro Srinivas enthralled the audience with his unique style of singing as content of lyrics is so native to each person. Dr Srinivas moved the audience when he sang Ghazals on mother, father and love.
The program was a superb evening presented by Al Wiqayah Trading exclusively for the Telugu Community who are residing in Oman.
Dr Rama Devi, a famous fertility specialist was introduced to Oman by Dr Rangaiah while thanking His majesty for His benevolence.
Dr Keshav welcomed the gathering. The guests and artists were introduced by Mr Ramdas, Mrs Asma Khan while Prasanna Kumar, Rajendra Prasad, Guna Saida, Ramesh Babu, PV Srinivas, Bapi Raju, Madhusudhan, Naidu, Anil Kumar and Haribabu coordinated the program.
