ATA committee reviews preparations for convention

New Jersey: The committee members of the American Telugu Association met at the residence of Mr. Bhagawan Reddy in New Jersey on May 12 to discuss the planning of the upcoming 12th Annual ATA convention and the youth conference to be held from July 6th to 8th in Atlanta.
Dr. Rajender Jinna elaborated the details of the salient features of the upcoming ATA convention to SakshiTV and TV5. He said they are meeting to discuss the means of transport facilities for the trip to Atlanta.
ATA is expecting 7000-8000 people to attend the convention. The programs include cultural, youth, literary, senior citizens related, kavi sammelana, alumni meeting, and medical education related.
There would also be around 150 booths to showcase the businesses by Telugu people such as clothing, real estate, etc., There would be a separate pavilion to promote IT businesses since Telugu people have a strong presence in this sector.
Dr. Rajender Jinna said that the main aim of this ATA convention is to bring all Telugu people onto one platform to network with each other and promote telugu culture and heritage.
