TDF political seminar at ATA convention, Atlanta

Telangana Development Forum, USA conducted a political seminar on July 7th, 2012 at the 12th American Telugu Association Convention held at Atlanta, GA. The seminar was titled 'Politics and Perils faced by Telangana Movement Today' was moderated by TDF Chairman Dr. Gopal Reddy Gade.
Many prominent politicians, intellectuals and cultural artists from Telangana hosted the stage. More than 1000 people attended the meeting, prioritizing this over other cultural activities.
It was very well received by the audience as the issue is very sensitive and closer to many Telangana hearts. The following Executive Committee/Board of Trustees T.Ramchandra Reddy, Viplav Reddy, Sudhakar Perkari, Vishu Kalvala, Laxman Anugu, Ramesh Chilla, Jagadish Bondugula, Vinay Basani, Chandra Mohan Nellutla, Hari Kasula from TDF actively participated in this conference, travelling from all over the country.
Chief guests included Madhu Yakshi Goud (M.P), ), Upendra Chivukula(NJ Deputy Speaker) ,Kalvakuntala Kavitha (Telangana Jagruthi), Goreti Venkanna, Suddala Ashok Teja, POW Sandhya, Yennam Srinivas Reddy (BJP M.L.A), Naradasu Laxman Rao(M.L.C), Bhoopal Reddy (M.L.C), Narsa Reddy (M.L.C), Prakash Goud(TDP M.L.A), K.S.Rathnam(TDP M.L.A), Karne Prabhakar(TRS), Jitta Balakista Reddy(Yuva Telangana), Ganesh Bigala(TRS), Ramchander Rao (BJP) ,Dilip(MLC), Rani Rudramadevi (T-News) and many other invitees from India graced the occasion. All of them expressed their concern on the delay in the formation of Telangana state.
The program started by observing two minutes silence in the honor of departed Prof. Jayshankar and fallen heroes for Telangana cause. The audiences were entertained by Sphurthy Chandra and Santwana Chandra, singing emotional songs from Telangana movement, bought tears in most of the eyes.
Mr.Murali Chintalapani, TDF President, read his message on TDF's past initiatives and emphasized the organizations role in development activities. He also welcomed and encouraged all to join TDF to improve Telangana Region.
Mr.Sriram Vedire, Vice-President, presented a very informative presentation on injustice being done to Telangana region in reference to river water sharing. He also presented some very viable options for all regions to work together and prosper.
Each invitee spoke at length updating the current situation in Telangana and recommended what needs to be done to achieve separate Telangana state. The information provided was very informative and brought the audience up to date on Telangana situation.
A question and answer session was conducted at the end, where some of the audience passed on a question to guests. Almost all of the guest speakers and audience were delighted by the seminar as it provided an open hall environment for common people to interact with political leaders and intellectuals.
They all appreciated TDF for conducting a very successful meeting and bringing all factions of prominent leaders on to one stage.
Messages passed to Telangana leaders and people are:
a) All political parties and organizations put separate Telangana state as their priority over their personal agendas and selfish interests.
b) All political parties should come together and chart out a common plan for 2014 elections. Telangana people should support only those nominees from parties that have a clear cut clarification on Telangana state.
c) Utilize any and all opportunities to educate and empower people on Telangana.
d) Stop committing suicides, and it sends out a wrong message and most of all, a very precious life is wasted.
e) Please do your part for Telangana's development, no matter how big or small the task is. Even developed countries depend on local volunteers and charities for betterment of people.
f) Please do not commit violence; you will fall into administration's trap.
The program concluded with Vote of thanks by Mr. Murali Goud Ramagoni (TDF General Secretary). Many TV stations recorded the program and broadcasted in length on their corresponding stations.
Finally, TDF thanks all the special guests, invitees, members, volunteers and finally the audience for making this conference a huge success.
