Burglar arrested, 12 lakh worth property seized Hyderabad, May 9 (INN): Bowenpally Police arrested a habitual day house burglar and seized 36 Tulas of Gold Ornaments and Net Cash of Rs. 2,00,500/-.
On credible information, on Wednesday at Old Bowenpally cross roads the house burglar More Akash, 19 yrs, Electrician R/o Golnaka, Amberpet, Hyderabad, N/o Mekalabanda, Lal Darwaza, Hyderabad was apprehended by K. Srinivasulu, Addl. Inspector of Police with the assistance of his crime party under supervision of I.T.V.S. Suryanarayana, Asst. Commissioner of Police, Begumpet Division.
The accused confessed to have committed 6 House Breakings by day offences of Bowenpally Police station limits. On his confession, 36 tolas of Gold ornaments and net cash of Rs. 2,00,500/- were seized in the above 6 cases. Total worth of the seized property is approximately Rs. 12 Lakhs.
The accused took to committing property offences, as his earning source being very meager and he could not fulfill his lavish desires. He is a habitual offender and previously he was arrested by Shalibanda police also.
But soon after he was released he has taken up burgling the houses. He will strike the locked houses and commits offences in afternoon hours by break opening the locked house and steal gold/silver articles and other valuables. Later he sells the stolen articles to gold smiths at various places in twin cities.
The good work done by K. Srinivasulu, Addl. Inspector of Police with the assistance of his crime party was appreciated by Ch. Srikanth, IPS. Dy. Commissioner of Police, North Zone, Hyderabad City and they will be suitably rewarded.
