Avail BPS, LRS scheme before May 31: GHMC Hyderabad, May 20 (INN): GHMC Commissioner M T Krishna Babu said that GHMC is conducting Praja Vani programme on every Monday, receiving public grievances pertaining to various civic related issues, huge number of citizens are participating and submitting their grievances and officials of GHMC are trying their level best to solve the issues at the earliest.
The Commissioner, GHMC further stated that this is a plat form created to solve the issues on the spot by involving officers.
The citizens are requested to come forward with the grievances pertaining to facilities, un authorized constructions, property tax, trade license, encroachments etc.
It has been observed in the Praja Vani Programme since last few weeks that the citizens are representing grievances pertaining to individual litigation, boundary disputes, which are civil in matter and to be settled in the court of law rather than representing in the Praja Vani, he added.
The Commissioner said that long pending cases pertaining to colonies and various civic related issues can be taken up in Praja Vani, but it cannot be resolved in a week are so, it is a time bound one which has to be placed before the Municipal Standing Counsel as well to examine the case to sort out the issue.
The Commissioner said that before conducting of the Praja Vani a review meeting is being organized on every Saturday with regard to sorting out the issues and pending grievances to settle the same in a positive way as per the rules.
Responding to the question raised by one of media persons, the Commissioner said that it is a fact that a lot of illegal constructions are coming especially in slums because of no authorization documents to submit for granting of building permissions and the officials are also forced not to accord sanctions as per the provisions of the HMC Act for which the slum peoples are constructing the building unauthorisedly in slums.
The Commissioner said that a lot of complaints are being received with regard to construction of additional floors after getting occupancy certificate. The matter is being dealt very seriously if any additional floors are constructed after issuing occupancy certificate and will be demolished immediately as per rules.
The Commissioner appealed the citizens to avail the opportunity to get settled of pending applications of BPS and LRS on or before 31st May 2013 as this is the last chance that Government has given.
The applicant can pay the balance penal amount through D.D by 31st May 2013 and documents if any are to be furnished can be submitted before June 15th 2013 to accord sanction as grace period.
