Task Force team arrests 13 from gambling den
Hyderabad, July 24 (INN): The West Zone team of Commissioner's Task Force raided a gambling den and took 13 people into custody who were allegedly playing three-cards gambling, a game of chance, by forming into two groups.
On receiving credible information, the police conducted a raid at Hotel Sri Rama Deluxe Lodge/Residency located opposite to SR Nagar Community Hall.
Those taken into custody during the raid have been identified as Y Ramulu, M.V.Krishna Rao, C.Srinivas Reddy, G. Laxminaryana, P Suresh, P Sanosh, D Abbas, C Mahesh Chandra Kumar Reddy, T Shanker, S Damodar, VH Suresh, P Ravinder and Pradhan Bhasker.
According to police, during enquiry it came to light that one of the accused person Mahesh Chandra Kumar Reddy, who is the owner of the lodge was getting losses in the business as such for the past few months and therefore he was conducting gambling in his lodge and taking rents and kit amount for each game and earning illegal money.
On Tuesday evening, he gathered his friends at the lofge and while playing 3-cards gambling in two groups, the Task Force police caught them and seized an amount of Rs 55,000, Cell Phones, and playing Cards from the possession of the accused persons.
The arrested accused persons along with seized material were handed over to the SR Nagar Police Station for necessary action.
