Newly wed girl kills self after dowry harassment
Hyderabad, Sept 10 (INN): A newly married woman reportedly committed suicide by hanging due to additional dowry harassment by her husband.
According to the Charminar police, deceased - P Swathi aged about 19 years was married in the month of May 2013 with M Panday, was a car driver, resident of Petlaburg, Charminar.
From the last few weeks Swathi's husband and in-laws were harassing her for additional dowry. Due to which Swathi was mentally depressed and took the extreme step by hanging herself on night hours of Sept 9.
Deputy Tahsildar Amar Jyothi registered a case under section 304 B, case is under investigation.
