Housewife set ablaze for more dowry Hyderabad, Oct 30 (INN): A 33-year-old woman died of burn injuries that she suffered after she was set ablaze allegedly by her husband.
According to Manchal Inspector J Venugopala Swamy, the deceased, K Suguna, was allegedly set on fire by her husband Lakshman, at their residence in Ellamma Tanda of Manchal, on October 27.
She was admitted to the Osmania General Hospital where she died on Tuesday night. Suguna was allegedly being harassed by her husband Laxman for additional dowry. On October 27, they had an argument over the same issue and out of rage he had set Suguna ablaze.
A case of murder and dowry harassment has been registered against Lakshman, police said.
