Reforms to curb corruption in Civil Supplies Dept: Eatala Hyderabad, March 16 (INN): Finance and Civil Supplies Minister Eatala Rajender said that the Telangana Government has decided to bring in reforms to curb corruption and irregularities in Civil Supplies Department.
Replying to a question raised by TRS MLA Guvvala Balaraju in Legislative Assembly during Question Hour on Wednesday, the minister said that State Government was implementing end to end computerisation of Targeted Public Distribution System to curb the corruption and irregularities in the department. The reforms include digitization of ration card data with Aadhar seeding; Generation of Dynamic Key Register; Online allocation of food grains at various levels without manual interference and Supply Chain Management for monitoring the movement of stocks from godowns to FP Shops.
The minister said that FP Shop automation with ePoS devices was being implemented in 18 FP Shops of GHMC area on pilot basis which enable only genuine beneficiaries to draw the ration with their biometrics authenticated with Aadhar. It is proposed to roll out ePoS in all the FP Shops in due course, he said.
Further, Global Positioning System (GPS) is being arranged in all the vehicles under Stage-I & II transportation for tracking the vehicular movement and loading and unloading of stocks. Grievance Redressal Mechanism is being implemented for enabling the beneficiaries to make their grievances, he added.
