Jana Reddy accuses TRS Govt of hiding info Hyderabad, March 17 (INN): Leader of Opposition in Assembly K. Jana Reddy has accused the TRS Government of hiding information on its revenue receipts and expenditure.
Speaking on State's budget for 2016-17 in Legislative Assembly on Thursday, Jana Reddy demanded that the Telangana Government furnish complete information on the release of funds during the financial year 2015-16.
Reply to Jana Reddy's demand, Finance Minister Eatala Rajender said that the State Government was not hiding any information. He assured that the complete statistics on receipts and expenditure would be furnished to all the members and the same would be placed in public domain. He said every citizen would be able to access the complete information.
Expressing dissatisfaction, Jana Reddy said that he website on GOs was closed primarily to conceal information on Budget Release Orders (BROs). He said that the unlike past two budgets, the government must ensure spending of entire allocated budget. He said the spending on 32% for Minorities Welfare, 52% for BCs, 42% for STs and only 34% for SCs.
Jana Reddy said that the TRS Government would need Rs. 7 lakh crore to fulfill all the promises that it made with the people. He said the 2BHK Housing scheme alone would required nearly Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 1.5 lakh crore. Similarly, Rs. 1 lakh crore would be needed to provide three acres of land to SC and ST families. About Rs. 50,000 crore will be need to develop Hyderabad. He said all these promises could be fulfilled if the government spends Rs. 50,000 crore every year for the next 10-12 years.
He said that the banking and other financial institutions would grant huge loans to Telangana Government only after reviewing its financial stability.
