Special Teams conduct raids against calcium carbide
Hyderabad, March 18 (INN): Seven special teams, comprising of officials of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and Institute of Preventive Medicine (IPM), on Friday conducted raids in GHMC areas against usage of calcium carbide for ripening of fruits.
The teams collected 14 fruits samples of different varieties and sent the same to the State Food Laboratory, Nacharam for analysis under FSS Act 2006 and the action would be initiated as per the analysis report.
