Water Board reviews Summer Contingency Plan
Hyderabad, March 29 (INN): HMWSSB Managing Director Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy on Monday reviewed with Executive Director and other Directors regarding the work progress in Summer Contingency plan being implemented in the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board.
Instructions were given to CGMs/GMs to closely monitor water supplies during supply hours so that water reaches tail end consumers. They were also asked to speed up the process of attending repairs to borewells and static tanks. The Chief Vigilance Officer was aked to intensify raids on the consumers trying to use motors for illegally sucking from water board pipelines and book the cases.
Meanwhile, the Cantonment Board has paid Rs. 8 Crores towards the dues to be paid for water cess.
