KCR makes power-point presentation on irrigation Hyderabad, March 31 (INN): In a first of its kind move in the country, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao made a power-point presentation on irrigation projects in the Telangana State Legislative Assembly on Thursday.
The Chief Minister made a detailed presentation on the present status of irrigation projects on Godavari and Krishna Rivers and their relevance to Telangana. He used Google maps to show about 480 barrages which were constructed on Godavari and Krishna and their tributaries by the upper riparian states of Maharashtra and Karnataka. During his presentation, KCR justified his government's move to re-design the irrigation projects which he claimed would ensure optimum utilisation of water.
Main opposition parties Congress and TDP have boycotted the presentation while BJP MLAs were present.
Three giant LCD screens were installed in the Assembly while KCR made the presentation with the help of a laptop and a large monitor in front of him.
