Dy CM justifies re-designing of irrigation projects Hyderabad, April 6 (INN): Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari said that the TRS Government was re-designing the irrigation projects only to undo the mistakes committed by previous Congress and TDP regimes.
Speaking to media persons here on Wednesday, Kadiyam said that the Telangana faced utter discrimination during previous regimes and for the same reason not a single irrigation project was completed in the region. He said although the Congress Government initiated Jalayagnum scheme, but no project was completed. Instead, he alleged that the Congress leaders collected huge kickbacks and turned the scheme into 'Dhana Yagnam'.
Kadiyam said that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has prepared a comprehensive plan for effective utilisation of Krishna and Godavari rivers.
