Congress uncertain on PPT on irrigation projects Hyderabad, April 7 (INN): The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee is uncertain on giving its own power-point presentation on irrigation projects.
The Telangana Congress, which originally planned a power-point presentation on April 9, now says that the presentation could be given either on 9th, 10th or 11th April. Further, it is still unclear on who would give the presentation. Originally, TPCC President N. Uttam Kumar Reddy was planning to give PPT. However, sources in TPCC now indicate that the presentation would be given by former irrigation minister and ex-PCC President Ponnala Lakshmaiah.
Meanwhile, addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan on Thursday, Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the Congress would give PPT presentation in all district headquarters highlighting the achievements of Congress party in the irrigation sector. He said the presentation given by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao in Assembly was waste of time as it was aimed at exhibiting his own presentation skills than focusing on problems being faced by the farmers.
Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the Central Government has increased the FRBM limits for Telangana and now the State Government should arrange funds to clear the crop loan waiver dues. He also demanded clearance of NREGA dues to agricultural workers in the State.
Earlier, Uttam Kumar Reddy chaired a review meeting at Gandhi Bhavan on proposed power-point presentation. The meeting was attended by Ponnala Lakshmaiah, G. Sukhender Reddy, Sudarshan Reddy, Balram Naik, Sampath Kumar, Vamshi Chandra Reddy and other senior leaders.
