Naidu takes credit for Telagana's revenues Hyderabad, April 20 (INN): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday claimed that it was due to his vision that the Telangana was able to increase its revenues.
Speaking on the occasion of joining of YSRCP MLA S. Krishna Ranga Rao and other leaders into TDP in Vijayawada, Chandrababu Naidu said he had played a key role in promoting Information Technology in Hyderabad. He said it was due to his efforts that the IT sector witnessed huge growth and today Telangana State was reaping its benefits.
Naidu said he took over the State in 1995, the State's exchequer was almost empty and there was no money to even pay salaries to the employees. However, he claimed that he started developing the State with a clear vision which turned Hyderabad into a IT and Knowledge Hub.
He reiterated that Andhra Pradesh was divided in an unscientific manner and therefore, the residuary State inherited several problems. He said that the State had no capital, industries or other major institutions. Still, he said that the TDP Government has ensured increase in State's revenues by 2.35%. He said that the Central Government should help Andhra Pradesh to enable it to compete with other neighbouring States.
