Congress urges EC to deny permission for TRS Plenary Hyderabad, April 21 (INN): TPCC Spokesperson B. Kamalaker Rao and G. Niranjan on Thursday submitted a representation to Chief Electrol Officer Bhanwarlal requesting him not to grant permission for the TRS Party plenary at Khammam on 27th April as election code of conduct is in force with the announcement of election schedule for Paleru Assembly Segment.
"The sole intention of TRS is to create an atmosphere to have its impact and influence the voters with this plenary session. No Party should be allowed to take undue advantage on one or other pretext," they said.
They also requested for use of ballot papers in the Paleru bye elections as there is scope for tampering of EVMs. If the Election Commission is unable to use ballot papers, they requested for use of EVMs with VVPATs.
They also brought to the notice of the CEO about the ground realities in connection with the re-verification of 19.71 lakh cases identified as shifted/ dead duplicate and ineligible voters in GHMC area and CEO assured to extend the time for re-verification as requested by TPCC President N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and the list of BLOs will be kept in the Website by next Monday.
