Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Babulal Gaur on Thursday found himself in the eye of a storm after he was caught on camera touching a woman inappropriately.The minister who flagged off 'low-floor' buses at an event, was seen touching the woman's behind as she climbed on to a bus.The incident happened during the inauguration of bus service at Barkhera area in Bhopal.
As the woman who was a minor is said to be a BJP officebearer, started boarding the bus for inaugural ride, Gaur spanked on her back.The purported video clip of the incident went viral on social media and was flashed on TV news channels. Several netizens slammed the behavior of the 85 year old minister and opposition parties demanded him to resign for his post.
Meanwhile the minister claimed there is no truth in the clipping and that he was directing women BJP workers to board a bus. This is not the first time Gaur has courted controversy. In 2013, he was seen enjoying a dance performance by skimpily clad women on a ferry in Goa. Later he raised a furore over his statement that women wearing jeans and T-shirts, drinking liquor and dancing with other men was not good for India.Recently, commenting on the Shani Shingnapur row, Gaur said women can worship from home instead of entering the temple.
