TDP to decide on Palair by-polls on Sunday
Hyderabad, April 23 (INN): Telangana TDP Working President A. Revanth Reddy on Saturday informed that party chief and AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has authorised the State unit to decide on Palair Assembly by-elections.
Speaking to media persons in Vijayawada, Revanth Reddy said that the Telangana TDP would finalise the candidate for Palair by-elections at a meeting to be held on Sunday. He said TPCC President N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and Working President Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka have approached the TDP leaders requesting them not to contest the Palair election and support the candidature of Suchiratha Reddy, widow of Ramreddy Venkat Reddy. He said the issue was referred to the TDP chief and he has authorised the State unit to take a decision in this regard during Sunday's meeting.
Earlier, Telangana TDP leaders including L. Ramana, Revanth Reddy, S. Venkata Veeraiah and Nama Nageshwara Rao held detailed discussions with Naidu on Palair by-elections.
