Water harvesting pit must to get permissions: Mayor Hyderabad, April 23 (INN): GHMC Mayor Bonthu Rammohan on Saturday said it would be compulsory to have water harvesting pit in order to get building permission and also a water connection.
Speaking to media persons here, the GHMC Mayor said that the groundwater levels have come down drastically in the city and therefore, water harvesting sump is being made compulsory during all new constructions. He said awareness would also be created on preservation of water.
The Mayor said that the Action Plan formulated by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao to develop Hyderabad as a global city would be implemented. He said that the GHMC would plant 25 lakh saplings across the city. He said efforts were also being made to establish 100 Smart Parking spaces.
