Talasani proposes expansion of Vijaya Dairy Hyderabad, May 7 (INN): Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadava said that the Telangana Government proposes to establish outlets of State-run Vijay Dairy Milk at various tourist destinations, temples and national highways.
Speaking after inaugurating the laboratory and godown at Vijaya Dairy Milk's plant at Lalapet in Secunderabad on Saturday, Talasani said officials have been directed to prepare proposals for expansion. He said that Vijaya Dairy brand was 56-year-old and it has huge potential for expansion due to its popularity.
Talasani said that the expansion of Vijaya Dairy could be linked to employment generation in Telangana State. He also informed that he was taking steps to introduce coordination among Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries Development departments. He also promise all assistance to the Dairy farmers in the State.
Vijaya Dairy Managing Director K. Nirmala, General Manager Tirupathi Reddy and other senior officials were also present on the occasion.
