CS holds meeting on TS Formation Day celebrations Hyderabad, May 7 (INN): Chief Secretary Dr. Rajiv Sharma on Saturday reviewed arrangements for the proposed grand celebrations of Telangana Formation Day to be held on June 2.
The State Government has decided to celebrate the Telangana formation day by organising events at all government offices in mandals, Zilla Parishad, Municipalities and Corporations, Revenue Divisions and all government offices. The Chief Secretary informed that clothes would be distributed in all Old Age homes and orphanages and fruits would be distributed among patients in hospitals. Blood donation and health camps will also be organised across the State.
On June 2, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao will pay tributes to Telangana martyrs at Gun Park. Later, he will lay the foundation stone for Telangana Martyrs' Memorial at Tank Bund. After unveiling the biggest national flag at Sanjeevaiah Park, the Chief Minister will proceed to Parade Grounds in Secunderabad where official celebrations will be held.
Entire Hyderabad city would be specially decorated and illuminated for the occasion.
The review meeting was attended by Advisor to Government K.V. Ramana Chary, Special Secretary M.G. Gopal, Principal Secretary (Home) Rajiv Trivedi and other officials.
