TS Govt fixes subsidised prices for seeds
Hyderabad, May 9 (INN): The Telangana Government on Monday accorded permission for sale price and subsidy pattern for various seeds for distribution to the farmers under different schemes during Khariff 2016.
The subsidy for Redgram, Blackgram, Greengram and Groundnut seeds has been fixed at 33%. Therefore, the net sale price will be Rs. 7750 per quintal for Redgram, Rs. 9750 for Blackgram, Rs. 7550 for Greemgram and Rs. 4850 for Groundnut. Similarly, the State Government has allowed subsidy of Rs. 500 per quintal for paddy seeds of more than 10 years and Rs. 1,000 for those less than 10 years.
On private Hybrids, subsidy allowed is Rs. 2,500 or 50% on base price of Rs. 5,000 per quintal or whichever is less. The subsidy for Maize, Jowar, Bajra, Castor and Sunflower has been fixed at Rs. 2,500.
